Out of the wild bleu, for no reason, modem shuts itself off. Lights out, yatta MdT. Sometimes unplugging from power brick and back in turns it on again but that is now about 1/3. Considering no activity from company for at least 12 months....wtd???:

Martin,

If your modem is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, try bypassing it and plug directly into the wall outlet.

What do you mean by no activity?  Have you tried calling Customer Care at 855-463-9333?

Hey Matt, thanks for quick reply. The problem is defined between ***** below. I'm guessing you haven't read my posts. The hate side of love/hate viasat is so far ahead it can never be evened up. If I had phone line w/in 40 to 60 thousand I'd go with \it and have options other than satellite.
***Anyway, what i mean is no lights, no power! so i pull cord out of back of modem, wait, plug back into modem, NOTHING, so i pull plug out of power brick, not at the wall or power bar but xfrmr out side, wait a few seconds, plug it back in and let there be lights and power to the modem; Amen.
And it boots. Power brick is very hot. Moreso than expected in an item w/o built in cooling fan(s).*****
The reason this started as it did is when ISP bounces there is no wifi available. Also about 45 days ago for no reason I can find my LG7 phone stopped connecting to WiFi. Error messages talk about some download with a link. Whatever the exe/app file is I couldn't tell ya. It is incompatible with my LG. Go figger. Anywho, looking at new router that might help the wifi issue but that won't help the random, inexplicable and always at the worst times power shutting itself off. Not my electricity but the modem's electricity. Hope this doesn't make it clear as mud. I'd like the speed of pic above :)
