Viasat isn't very expensive

It's amazing how people like to come here and claim that Viasat is too expensive. I actually saved money by switching from AT&T to Viasat.

I just got a global phone yesterday. I can go almost anywhere on the planet and have reliable phone/internet service. The catch is, it costs money. A lot more money than Viasat for a lot less service.

Data in the USA is 20 cents per MB and goes as high as $3.20 per MB depending where you are on the planet. That's a lot more expensive than the costs people are complaining about with Viasat.

For me it's about convenience. If I don't like it I have two options, don't use it or purchase a local sim card in Vietnam. I can probably get data cheaper but it will still cost me a fortune to make calls to the USA unless I use Skype.

If you don't like Viasat you have options. Move to the city or switch to Hughesnet. A Verizon hotspot might be an option for you as well.

Depends on the plan. If you are paying north of $200/month for internet that is not mobile nor allows you to cord cut, that's pretty pricey.
