Viasat 2 Service

I have seen several older posts regarding the launch of VS-2 service. Right now if I go to the Viasat website and plug in my zipcode, it says there a variety of plans available to me (currently have Exede Silver-25 unlimited). However, if I login to my account, there are none. If and when VS-2 service is available will Exede\Viasat contact customers and arrange for new equipment, or must the customer initiate the process? As I unterstand it, a new modem and realigment of the dish is required for the new satellite.

Larry you’re correct. When you’re ready to change plans you will need to contact ViaSat and choose a new plan. If you choose a plan that requires new hardware to receive service from the new VS2 satellite, ViaSat will set up an installation work order to have your system upgraded. If you’re in your portal and don’t see new plans yet, that means that the silver 25 is the highest available to you at the moment. Hang tight and check in each week as VS is activating markets every week.
