Can we get an update or explnantion of the outcome of the antenna glitch? It was mentioned in January’s conference call and now it’s like it never happened. Nobody wants to talk about it. What was the final outcome?

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for asking about ViaSat-2. We have openly talked about the ViaSat-2 satellite antenna issue. In fact, what you heard during our Q3 FY18 Earnings conference call is that despite the issue, ViaSat-2 service is launching nationwide in February – that has not changed.

Specific to the antenna – we’re continuing to work with Boeing to characterize the on-orbit performance in order to rectify the issue. And on the Earnings call, our CEO confirmed that we expect the ViaSat-2 satellite and ground network will produce at least 260 Gbps of capacity, which is at least 2x the useful bandwidth as compared to the ViaSat-1 satellite.

 Hope that addresses your questions.
