viasat 1 customers under attack

okay, despite a ticket created by viasat listens rep 2 days ago, no one from viasat has an answer they are willing to share as to why my speeds are throttled during eve hours.  I get this double talk about how the data use had been reconfigured and this will result in my slow speeds.  How can a company argue that this is okay when clients are moving over to the new satellite (viasat 2), leaving more vacancies on viasat 1.  After three years of decent evening speed on Freedom plan, NOW as more people move over to new satellite, they refigure speed on viasat 1 and decide to throttle remaining clients, just to make their lives miserable.  Congratulations viasat, you have succeeded in pushing my buttons and turning me from a supporter into a disgruntled client.  Shame on you.

Only takes me a hundred times for something to sink in, but it does, eventually. I see the plans are being throttled/prioritized, not the actual usage of those plans. Isn't that nice. I received no notice. No email, no snail mail. I guess Viasat didn't have enough residential customers hating them, so they had to go at the Freedom users.

Matt. I am not convinced your traffic management is working correctly. I know you made changes, but when a person is under their cap and getting speeds below 500kbps, something isn't working right.

VIASAT needs to be put out of business, they are nothing but a fraud, lying sack of crap business. They are carpet bombing my local TV with ads and their signs are all over the roadside, yet my area is way over sold and their service sucks here.in central Virginia.

Central VA service has sucked for years with a couple of moments of decent speeds. Companies have no motivation nor desire to support rural. We are and have been for years, an overloaded area (Beam 329) but I also see those signs all over the place. I do have a recommendation for Viasat and the 'tag line' on their emails. The one I received said 'High Speed'. Viasat, even you have to laugh at that for Beam 329. Maybe change it to 'Internet Access'.

That wouldn't be accurate. It should be "Slow occasional internet access."

I didn't even have that, mine would drop up to a dozen times a day sometimes being out for hours. That happened even when it wasn't, raining, snowing or had wind blowing. It was never good for any length of time for the whole 7+ years I had it. Every complaint was met with trying to up sell me an easy care plan even after a 3 tech visits and numerous calls for support failed to improve service. If VIASAT really cared about customer satisfaction and they obviously don't they would let people who have constant poor service out of their contracts without penalty or  give them credit on their bills. They also would not change a service agreement in their favor. I do not see why a class action suit hasn't been filed. Contrary to popular belief not all fine print is legally enforceable. Every time I see a VIASAT TV ad bad mouthing cell service and DSL and calling themselves super fast I want to kick the TV set. They continue aggressive selling tactics in an area that has notorious poor service.

I would like a VIASAT employee to explain that away.
