For 10 years I've had a Sat Con. I work from home. I'm in IT. I KNOW my useage. Until Feb. 2014 I only hit my cap once and I knew I would so bought more specifically for that situation. Since Feb 2014 EVERY month on the 10th I'm told I've already hit 70% and every one of those months on the 16 or 17th I get an email saying I've exceeded my cap. BS! I do a LOT of development so anytime I"m working code I'm disconnected from the internet. The past 4 months....... I've been working nights during the FREE zone so as not to have this issue. It doesn't matter I STILL supposedly hit the cap.

I've got two different monitors set up and both are very close to each other regarding my useage. Exede is WAY off according to both. When my contract was up with Dish I went directly to Exede due to problems that were supposedly the fault of Dish. The problems are worse now. Constant drops, DHCP/DNS issues, slow speeds overall and NOW........... even during the FREE Time I can't connect to my GoDaddy account or other FTP accounts.

There used to be a page I could go to with Exede and it showed my used during the times of the day. I went looking for it tonight to compare and find it has been replaced by a BS gauge that no longer allows me to verify when I was and when I wasn't connected or what I'm getting dinged for.

10 yrs and no issue and now every month? BS. I'm the only one in the house that uses the internet and I do NOT do video anything, movies, games or massive upload/downloads of files.

Either Exede needs to show me via an hourly report of my useage or 2 months in or not I'll go elsewhere. I'm NOT paying for more bandwidth when I know good and well I'm not using what they say I am. If I am then BACK UP YOUR CLAIMS EXEDE with VALID TRANSPARENT REPORTING!

I can understand your frustration concerning your data usage.  I am more than willing to go over your usage categories with you for any discrepancies.  I can also get you over to our Technical Department for further troubleshooting.  If you could please send me an email to with your contact information and the best tine to reach you, we can figure this whole data issue out together. i agree there's something wrong with the metering.
