Useage and where it goes?

At Hughenet we could see for ourselves where our usage was going. I only switched to Exceed when they came into our area for higher speeds. So Why doesn't Exceed offer the same. On my old service I could see exactly where my MB s went, music web address you tube, updates etc.

Hi Suzanne,
I wish they would have something that would show those kinds of detail's. Many, many forum post have been asking for an Exede tracking program.

Their "Exede's" answer is "we are working on it and are aware of the many request for it".

There are several post about free downloads that will track your data "Gig's" usage. But I have not come across one that will track the actual website addresses, Mb's used, and time spent on them. That would be great, and like I said, several people have asked for this type of tracking.

Everett, We can only see your modem stats, the same thing you can see at plus historical data. As far as data, we can see only broad categories like "media, browsing, social media, email, marketplace, etc. For example, I can see approximately what per cent of your data is media but I won't be able to distinguish between Disney and porn. Techs are supposed to ask for your permission to see the detailed data usage but there is nothing to prevent them from seeing it without asking.

It would be really nice if they could become transparent about this.  Sure you can use all the 3rd party programs you want to track your usage but what Exede says you used is really the only one that counts.  My phone has a built in data tracking app and I can look on that and it tells me details about what program or function used how much over a period.  BUT it also has a disclaimer saying that Verizon may have a different number.  So far I haven't seen much, if any variation, but Verizon also shows a detailed minute to minute record that I can look at any time by logging into my account.  Being able to be transparent about this information is what Exede needs to do.  That would eliminate many of the complaints if people were able to view on their own what usage happened when and how Exede is counting the data.  When you can only get this information talking to a rep and never really have the details in front of your eyes to view,  of course it makes it appear that Exede is hiding something, especially to customers that are having issues with their service. JMO
