Prior to installation, I was told that I could use my plan to work from home however, the upload speed of 3 mbps is too slow. How do I get a upload speed of at least 5 mbps?

during peak hours is usually busy... also the peak hours are from 5pm to 2am... also it WILL slow down but yet itll be enough to web browse and so forth... IF ya want good speeds then use it BEFORE or AFTER peak hours... so like after 2am to 5pm is usually is a good time... cause that is when the speeds are usually aok... BUT!!! dont forget that there is congestion into the network and so on... congestion means everyone is online at the same time so exede HAS to share the bandwith with everyone... right as we speak imma in peak hours as the rest of the people who stay up late... also i go to bed then i use my data during the day time... :3 but yeah that is what i suggest doing is WAIT until after 2am THEN use it until 5pm comes then get off... that is what i sometimes do :3

3mbps upload is a great speed.  You may have other issues, but your up-speed is fine.
