Upgrade my plan

My service location is a seasonal residence. Normally I can get by with my current 12 GB plan, but July and August are my busiest months when additional date is required. Is it possible to change to a higher level data plan for a few months and then revert back to my 12 GB plan without incurring another 2 year commitment? If so, I am familiar with the online convenience of upgrading a plan, but wondering if I could downgrade accordingly. Thanks

After a certain time period, but only if that plan is still available. Careful. If you ate on a grandfathered plan and give it up, you will never get it back!

I think you can switch month to month once you are done with the 2 yr contract. But, you can only switch to an available plan. What is available today may not be available in a few months. If you are on a V1 plan and switch to a V2 plan, I believe that would be another 2 yr contract.

Tom, log in to your Admin Page and click on the Change Service Plan button.
It will show you the current crop of options.

Like the ExsatUser said, you may not - depending on your current plan - be able to get your current plan back.

Otherwise there are no strings attached to up or down grading service plans at any point, regardless of how long you have been a subscriber.

Unless you moved to a plan on Viasat-2, correct?

Well, When using the Admin portal to view/change plans it can only offer what is available under current conditions (bird/hardware)

If someone wants to upgrade to a new Service Plan only available on a different available satellite, that would require calling Viasat, a site visit and new hardware with a new contract.
