Satellite internet providers were losing subs to 4G LTE providers who were selling unlimited plans so they combated that by offering "unlimited" plans of their own.
Neither type of provider is really giving unlimited internet either, but it sounds good.

It's kinda like the guy who drove up to the convenience store and the owner was in the process of closing up. The guy said "hey, what are you doing? Your sign says you're open 24 hrs!!" the owner replied "yeah, but not in a row."

Cell phone companies live by that phrase.
At least Viasat offers the most "unlimited" data compared to Verizon or Hughesnet. In some cases 2x more. Now queue the marketing line..."we offer twice as much unlimited data!"

Same for those Unlimited cellular plans, sure, up to usually 20 something odd GB per month fast speed then, slower for more data after that.

"When the Model T first came on the market, customers could get almost any common color... except for black! Blue, gray, green, and red were all available, but not black. The first black Model T didn’t roll off the assembly line until five years later. Towards the end of the Model T’s life, six new colors were introduced, from Royal Maroon to Phoenix Brown to Highland Green." ( Dang! I've turned into Jab! )

I have no desire for an "unlimited" plan. I frequently use more than 150 GB a month on a cheap Liberty 12 plan.
