I have all my wifi turned off because I am running a router. Plus the wifi don't have near the range of the router I use. I couldn't get a signal 60 ft away for the cameras. Plus it didn't work for the cell phone either. It needs a couple of external antennas but there is no outlet for it. I have everything here to put them on but I am thinking that this is a BIG no no. But yet they give you a worthless USB port. lol go figure.

Yes, range is super poor with new Exede wifi. I have tried two different units with same poor transmission wifi. 30 ft. away through a single wall I go down to less than 1/3 of speed. I would like to use my Lynksys, but the local Exede technician couldn't get it to communicate when he was at my home. Does anyone have a recommendation for a great new wifi router that will give excellent range instead of Exede's poor range built in wifi. Also, I too would like to know how easy it is to add a better range router and disable the wifi on Exede's modem. One other question, How do I find the DNS number for Exede. I did not see it listed on Exede's site for modem info?
