Can Exede provide a tool (or is a third party tool available) so that we can prepare a report on data usage by day of the month (and even time of day)?  I had access to this type of report when I used HughesNet which helped in tracking high data usage problems.

I just ran out of my 10GB data allowance for the month (and my month resets on the 8th of the month) - and I was away on vacation for 5 days of the month so I can't see how this is possible. With a way to track my data usage by days of the month I could see if there was any data usage while I was away.

I have taken quite a few steps to try and limit my data usage so that I don't go over, but since having my satellite dish re-pointed in February have been having more and more data usage problems.  Is something going on with my modem where it is consuming my data allowance even though I don't have any computers hooked up (like when I am away on vacation)?

I use my router software - Netgear Genie to track daily usage. If you have a netgear router you can use that. It is free but I don't know if it would work if you have a different or no router. Perhaps others know of another program that can track by the hour.

Chris Steves,

I will be glad to look into your data usage. Please send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account information and I can review your modem information in the system to see if there are any technical issues. Thanks.

At this time, the only usage meter we offer is located at www.exede.net Customer Portal. However, there are other third party data usage trackers that seem to work well for some customers. Thanks for sharing Tony & Bev.

All reality ripple does is log in and see what Exceded's meter says, then put that information in a graph for you in a small little utility window. It doesn't track usage independently of Excede's own monitoring.
