Biggest culprit is your devices were probably enjoying updating overnight. Cut off automatic updates, cloud backups, and enjoy data conservation.

You got off easy. I have a guest that bought a new computer and was happy the next day, telling me what a cool machine it is. He sat up all night using it and watched it do things he didn't understand. Below is a screen-shot of the data that was used. I pipe the Internet around here using Ubiquiti dishes (this is a big place) and he was served by one of those dishes. In just under 12 hours he used over 15GB doing "nothing big" whatever that means. I can only attribute that usage to Windows 10 setup and updates. I think Windows 10 updates are not all detected as "Windows Update" on data counters. Some download data blocks are just seen as file transfers.
If you have a Windows 10 machine and it saw the Internet was connected, it may have gone shopping for update data and burned through your data. This is why I said you got off easy:

I think that's very likely. A lot of those updates are sneaky and a lot of times have very little to show after outside of a major toll on data. If you email us at exedelistens@viasat.com we can review it for you.
