Tips on email conversion

Some people moving over to our new email program are noticing a lot of old email flowing into their web client (Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.). To remedy this, you can change your preferences to only have new email coming in. Have a look this Help Center article on the topic (scroll to the bottom for the preferences settings).

If you're on a plan with a Free Zone, you could wait until then to set up your web client, but chances are you already have all that old mail so changing your preferences may be, er, preferable.

Also, if you're using the old POP settings instead of IMAP, you might consider changing. IMAP is a whole lot smarter than POP and avoids redundancies when you're accessing email from multiple devices.

Both POP and IMAP are disabled. Don't have either. So what does that do to my wildblue mail? Does it just stay where it is or does the whole thing just disappear?

Unfortunately, the Help Center article only describes fixing the old email download for Exede.net email customers.  I am a Wildblue.net customer, and the webmail page for Wildblue.net appears to have been down for at least two days.  It just displays a Wildblue logo in the middle of the page and does nothing else.
