EVERYONE, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR INTERNET SERVICE AROUND HERE........

HI...,

I HAVE BEEN USING EXEDE SATELLITE HOME INTERNET FOR THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS. I ORDERED THE INTERNET SERVICE THROUGH A DIRECT TV BUNDLE WITH A 200 DOLLAR CREDIT CARD REBATE. AFTER CABLE AND INTERNET WERE INSTALLED. I LOGGED INTO MY DIRECT TV ACCOUNT ONLINE USING MY INTERNET EXEDE SATELLITE ISP FROM VIASAT TO DOWNLOAD MY PDF FILE REBATE FORM AND I GOT THIS:

•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes

SO I CANNOT DOWNLOAD MY PDF REBATE FORM TO CLAIM MY REWARD.

THEN I LOG INTO MY COLLEGE WEBSITE WHERE I NEED TO ENROLL AND ADD SOME CLASSES AND I GET THE SAME THING!!!

I THEN LOG INTO VLC.COM AND AVG INTERNET ANTIVIRUS PROTECTION TO UPDATE MY ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM AND I GET THIS:

•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes

THE AGENT I SPOKE WITH STATED THE MY INTERNET CONTRACT HAD A 20GB MONTHLY CAP AT SPEEDS OF 12MB/SEC AND WHEN THE CAP WAS REACHED, I WOULD THEN RECEIVE SPEEDS OF 250KB/SEC WHICH I CLEARLY UNDERSTAND, AND I AGREED TO
@ $70 BUCKS A MONTH.

AND THEY NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT BLOCKED WEBSITES AND FEATURES.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THERE SERVICE RESTRICTS A LONG LIST OF WEBSITES AND THEIR FEATURES WHEN YOU REACH YOUR LOW DATA CAP OF 20GB A MONTH.

THE AVERAGE CAP ACCROSS AMERICA IS 250GB A MONTH FOR HOME INTERNET THROUGH OTHER COMPANIES AT LOWER PRICES.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AS YOUR ISP, DONT WAIST YOUR TIME LIKE I DID AND FIND SOMETHING CHEAPER AND BETTER.

LASTLY, I DID SEND AN EMAIL TO THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM ABOUT THE RESTRICTIONS A WEEK AGO AND HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.

If you got the exact same error while trying to go to 3 different sites, I would lean toward the possibility that you have an issue with your browser or some sort of malware issue. Of particular concern to me is the EXACT cloudfront.net error with each site. 

You should try resetting your modem, then open a web browser and check the status of your modem by going to http://192.168.100.1. Does that return any diagnostics that could be indicative of a bad install?

Hi Rene,
The pages your liking to above look real spammy to me. No wounder that Facebook is not connecting with them.

Oh ya, your Cap Lock key is engaged. And like jimpryde mentioned. Look on your end for the problems. Customer support can't fix stupid.

Hey dudes..,

I did reset, turned off, turned back on modem/router several time.,  DID NOT WORK.

I don't have these problems when using other ISP's else where.

I did check that http://192.168.100.1 and everything checked ok.

EXEDE ISP SUCKS!

HOW CAN I FIX IT?

Not to sound too much like a broken record, but clicking on those links brings up all kinds of warnings for me as well.  I would guess you have a browser hijacker or some other "helpful" program on your system that is causing you problems.

Just for giggles, before you completely bash Exede, have you tried to access any of these sites from a different device or computer?  Even try from a mobile phone or tablet connected to your Viasaat connection.

It may be that the latency on the Viasaat connection is enough to trip up whatever is redirecting your browser where on faster connections it appears to work fine since the response is faster.

I also would advise try scanning your system with Malwarebytes, Super Antispyware, and Hitman Pro and seeing if they find anything.  If they do, remove it all (use the Quarantine option) and then see if you still have problems.

Now, of course all this is just trying to be helpful.  Take or leave as you see fit.  I hope you get your problems sorted out.

I tried all your tips and suggestions a couple times and the issue appears to be coming from ISP.

USING FIVE DIFFERENT CELL PHONES, FIVE DIFFERENT LAPTOPS, MY VISITORS LAPTOPS ALL DO THE SAME. 

HOLD ON.., I JUST FINIFHED REINSTALLING A FRESH OS W8.1 ON FOUR NEW LAPTOPS..., LET ME TRY THEM ALL TO SEE IF ITS A BROWSER PROBLEM.

BRB.., oh I cant even listen to my favorite radio station anymore.???

Five different cell phones, five different laptops, visitor laptops, 4 fresh installs of Windows 8.1 (with a default of automatic Windows up[dates) ...

You're undoubtedly dapped and speeds are throttled, there's no blocking but for all intents and purposes the same end result. Wanna get around it, try connecting with VPN when dapped (and expect even slower speeds) and then learn how to manage your limited data budget better next month...

I don't mind throttled speeds of 250kb to 750kb.  I can work with those speeds.  What I don't appreciate and I didn't sing up for are the blocked links in many if not all websites.  I shouldn't have

to install VPN software or change proxy settings to get around the issue.  We don't live in a third world country to be dealing with data caps and blocked link content.  If exede cannot deliver what they promise, I will continue to spread the word and eventually find a better ISP.

Lets just hope exede can solve the problem and all the other people in line who are experiencing the same issues.

I trust that once you respond to Kimberly she can point in the right direction, but can you login to your Exede account at https://my.exede.net and check your bandwidth allotment for the month and see if you have hit your max threshold?  You can use the 3G or LTE on a cell device if the internet is problematic accessing that site.

If you are constantly getting bounced to that same page from every device, then try plugging your system directly into the modem and bypassing your wireless router.  It is also entirely possible something is pooched in the firewall / wireless router that might be contributing to the problem.  Not as likely in my opinion, but I am working on some security policy overhauls and recommendations for our corporate customers and home routers / firewalls can be compromised.  Plugging an Ethernet cable from your computer to the modem should eliminate the wireless router as a problem.

The only other thing I can think of is if there is something with your particular connection and the acceleration servers that Excede I believe uses.  While I don't think that would be a problem, you never can tell.

Look at the two items above (GB Used and Directly connect via a wired cable from the PC to the modem) and let us know what you find.

its just that exede isp is so slow that it actually takes a long time to switch BACK THE CAPS ON AND OFF.... WELL THERE IT GOES AGAIN...., FInally.  see.

anyways.

I just got 5gb free at super 12mb/s and walla... what you know everything works fine now... really all website links actually open and amazon does load up complete.

I was nailing my cap 2 weeks in every month.  Finally downloaded Adblock Plus on all my systems for all my browsers.  Killed off connectivity to all my portable devices.  Disabled updates completely on all AV and Windows systems.  Now I am 11 days from the new allocation and only used 3.7 GB and 1 GB of that was a day I had to work from home.

Finding those pesky data thieves on your network can make all the difference.  Glad to hear things are back to normal for now.
