Speed problems

Just had the Exede installed on the 7th of May. Worst decision I have ever made! Plus, you don't have a window to cancel and return the equipment if you change your mind within 30 days, or even 1 day! Couldn't read their contract till the internet was installed, then you find out there is no grace period! You have to pay the early termination fee no matter what! Don't sign up for Exede!  Speed is no different than my regular dsl speed.  Scott C.

I almost didn't sign up because I was told ahead of time there was no trial period by the installer. I really am happy with the internet although they really jab you on the phone. Now that I had it disconnected things are back to normal and I'm a happy camper again. We should never take anything for granted when dealing with a competitive business. Questions are free.

Speeds are sometimes slow..I was running at 4mb down and like 2mb up last night but its back to normal this morning. But if you are still having issues send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with account, contact info and reference this post in the email as well. One of the Exede moderators will be happy to take a look and see what's going on.

Liars and thieves..... As soon as I can get cable I am out. Can't wait for the class action lawsuit.

They are not liers and thieves and there is not going to be a law suit. But if you do have a legitimate problem follow my previous post and send the social media team an email and they will be happy to help with your issues!!

They are liars and thieves and even have a few customers with that problem. A lawsuit is way past due. Let's get that going!

I think they are working on things Virgil. Mine has really improved after talking to one of the exede op's. They seem to know the right buttons to push. lol unlike the  wantobe here. Hope they can help you soon.

It will not happen and am not holding m breath. I have wildblue and excede will and is going threw the same. To many customers and no equipment to carry them. Wildblue is below 30% customer approval and excede will be that way in less than a year.

Scott, when you return the equipment make sure you send it with signature required. It took almost 3 weeks til I got my post office receipt back. Be careful, so you won't get charged for being late sending that box back.

Scott, your speeds should certainly be faster than slower DSL, but if you have fast DSL or cable available in your area Exede is likely not the best fit. I'd like to look at your account and see what went wrong and what we can do to help you. Why should it be faster? Wildblue is slower than hooked to a phone! I went to bed with 55 usage and had unplugged my modem. I woke and it tells me am now at 90! There is NO honor with them!

Are you suggesting you are employed by Viasat? Which comment did not give the issues? Customers are seeing why their usage and speed has changed by the reason! Wildblue and, now Excede allowed way to many customers their system could not handle, but they continued to do so. They knew it would happen!

There are hundreds of complaints you blind people. You just don't get it that you work for a rip-off Company and I bet you just get paid minimum wages.

From experience I have learned this is the last avenue of help for exede. Most people that end up on this forum have been threw all the telephone mess and such. These folks that work for exede here can help and stay one on one with you. That's something.

That will not help because Excede already and purposely asked and allowed to many customers, knowing what would happen. The same is with wildblue!

I tried for a month to get reasonable speeds. 8+ hours on the phone with them many level 2 calls. No improvement. Also I had to restart the modem over and over again. Level 2 supervisor even refused to send a tech out. Finally canceled service and rep said "early termination fee would be 1/2.  After all of that still charged the FULL $405 disconnect fee and then another (unauthorized) for $100 a month later even when I returned equipment as requested . Moved to Hughsnet and guess what...great speeds no problams at all form day one. Confidentially I was told Exede had oversold bandwidth and many many at least in my area had similar problems. I am disputing through credit card company and will file small claims (apparently there is a clause in contract that allows that) if necessary Virgil and others say the same above. If you are listening Exede my experience was horrible.
