Well Viasat had a map on there twitter feed some months back that said they offer broadband for all across the nation. Currently broadband is defined as 25Mbps.

Initiatives like this will just mean companies like Hughesnet and Viasat will get more money from the government to deliver something that will disappoint (look to money given out during the Obama era for this. What did it get us?).

So why bother doing anything, right? Better just go back to bed. Don’t bother to vote or get involved?

This bill doesn't do any more than Pres Trumps Executive action last January.   This bill creates a new bureau to coordinate with 4 existing bureaus in order to eliminate bureaucracy.

If it were to become like the Broadband for All initiative in NY, we'll still be left out in the cold.  Making it a public utility is what's needed, but that's considered to be like "regulation" for some, and regulation is a swear word for many in the government, regardless of how many people it could help.  Big business ALWAYS wins, and with "regulation" they wouldn't be able to win like they normally could.  We lose.

Maybe, someday, but I'm not holding my breath.
