Terrible Customer Service, False Advertisement

I am currently under contract for internet service that I received 2 months ago. At the time of signing up, I had called to inquire about bundled television and internet. Customer service asked me what I would be using the internet for, to which I replied gaming and that I needed fast internet speeds. She told me that She could sign me up for Directv as well as ViaSat for $90 per month for the needs I had listed. After installation, the internet was so slow that we could not properly stream videos, let alone gaming. I proceeded to change my internet plan to the next expensive one, which changed my bill for internet ALONE to over $140 per month. We are still unable to use gaming that requires internet access. I feel as though I was deceived when signing up for your service and have been told that in order to cancel I must pay $15 per month left in my contract. I don't see how this can be trustworthy business, when I was promised internet service for gaming, and have yet to be able to do any such gaming with the service you provide. I have tried contacting customer service, in which I have been hung up on, or had chat disconnected as soon as I stated that I was not receiving the service that I had had been promised by your representative. I have also been hung up on while inquiring as to why my bill can not be viewed until after my card has been charged. I have emailed corporate twice and NO ONE has gotten back to me. I am now considering legal action as I want to cancel but am being threatened with a $300 cancelation fee for a falsely advertised service. I was lied to by your employees. I specifically told them I needed internet for gaming speeds. I can't even stream videos

It sounds like Magic Jack? An airhead tech put me on hold an hour plus. I switched phone carriers and couldn't be happier.

You signed up for your Directv and Viasat internet through AT&T, the owner of Directv, and not through Viasat. Directv is a reseller of the Viasat internet service.

You should have done some research about satellite internet before agreeing to the service, all satellite service has a 600 to 700 millisecond latency, or delay, and is only suitable for some gaming, not any First Person Shooter games.

The good  news is that you did get $10.00 a month savings by packaging the two services. Those Directv sales reps will tell you anything for sale, it is money in their pocket.

Bundling strikes again! And these kinds of situations are why Viasat gets a bad name. When people sell the product saying whatever.
