suspended service for non payment

I was told that I had a ten day grace period to pay my bill. My bill was due the 12th and I made my payment online the 22nd at 9 am. By 10:30 am my service was off. I logged into my account and saw " your service has been suspended for non payment, make a payment to restore your service"  I called and spoke with 3 different representatives and was told my payment was still processing and it would be 24 hours until my service would be restored. They said there was nothing they could do. Very frustrating that after 6 years of being a loyal customer service would be suspended after a payment was made.

I been with them since 2011 and any time there has been a payment issue we were suspended within 24-48hrs so I'm surprised you got as far as you did. I wasn't aware of any grace period. Now day's I pay by Pre Paid Debit in advance before my bill is due so when they make their little mistakes I can't get overdrawn at my bank again

To be honest, I'm surprised Viasat allows payment with prepaid debit cards.

Its an advanced Payment not my Card on File. My Card on File is attached to a Bank account with like 5 bucks in it lol. It affects Viasat in no way. They have to play fair with me and I play fair with them. If there is a billing dispute or overcharge I don't get hit at the bank. They got me before. Fool me once.....

Doesn't matter.  I'm just surprised they allow payments of any type with prepaid debit cards.  My own ISP doesn't, and for very good reason.  It makes it too easy for people to burn the ISP.  For that reason, they don't accept any prepaid debit card payments (save one tied to Social Security).

Really can't see how they can get burned by one like mine. My Pre Paid card is a Master Card tied to my name and my SS#. I load the amount I want to pay them and go my account and pay. They get their money instantly as soon as I press Pay. I really don't see the risk

What I mean is, if someone uses a prepaid card to pay for their account, then they decide to burn the company, it's much harder for the company to come after them than someone with a card tied to a bank account.

Sounds like the solution is to pay your bill on time.

They wouldn't install it at my place without monthly auto-pay via credit card.

So no chance of being late unless my card is expired or cancelled.
