I am assuming my area will be one of the last to get any of the new plans.

They just tweeted about the launch and new plans this morning. My guess is they should be coming soon hopefully!

Well the announcement that the Twitter talks about says today is the launch of the Nationwide service, but there is nothing on my account about new plans..

I downloaded the new app and chatted with Margaret from support. She said they are currently rolled out to 14 beams and doing testing. They will be rolling out to additional areas as soon as they can. She couldn't give an ETA though.

Well, this sort of goes back to what I said before..  I really to respect and do not want to get anyone a hard time, and I will not do that to people here or on the chats or phones..

But, Viasat,, they put out an announcement that they are offering it nationwide today..  and they are not..  really some PR work on there end would be great.. they have good people, but they put out untrue..

I have to agree that the marketing folks at Viasat have jumped the gun on the announcement that the new plans are out nationwide.  Facebook has the big announcement, leading people to believe that the plans have really been released nationwide, but nothing new shows up in my area, nor on the account page. We must be cautious about words used by the marketing team, such as "unlimited" and "nationwide".

I am not knocking Viasat  in general, just the marketing team not being in tune with reality.

Anyone on a plan without throttled video resolution is silly for wanting to switch to a Viasat 2 plan.

For me, the best thing about Viasat 2 is that it will be taking some of the load off of Viasat 1 customers.  I could care less about whatever unlimited plans they are offering on it.

Unless I can get truly unlimited on Viasat 2, for $60.99 a month after taxes and fees, I'm not interested in any of the new plans.  I have a feeling, plans like that aren't going to exist for a very long time, and they will cost a lot more than what I am currently paying.

I'm not seeing any plans on my ViaSat portal, either. This has been going on for a while so sent an email a week or so ago. Was told there's a glitch in the portal and I'd need to call to see what plans are available to me (regardless of satellite). (It was a nice email, much nicer than I make it seem.)

I really don't want to call. I don't hear well, and my phone is currently experiencing issues. I'd just like to keep tabs on plans is all.

Me too. I went to the trouble to call when they first started showing the message to call if interested about other plans... guess I'll wait until the website actually shows me something. I check it almost daily -- nice of them to imply they would be out in February.

I've have good customer service from Viasat and not so good.

I am not seeing any of the new plans as well. New customers in our area are being offered the unlimited plans. However, I am going to stick to the Liberty 12 plan for now.
