Since it seems like we're not getting a clear line of communication here and things are being monitored by multiple people from Exede, I need to clear up the open tickets I have.

Case # 01142707 - What beam am I on - Answered and understand I can't be reprovisioned.  Didn't realize this required a response from me.  Please close

Case # 01149172 - Degraded signal quality in eSVT - Cleared up yesterday a some point after the modem rebooted itself - Please close

Case # 01150866 - Modem rebooting on its own.  At last count, yesterday, it rebooted/reset/reloaded 8 times.  Today it has done it twice.  Yes, it's not in a "crowded" location, its on conditioned power and well ventilated.

Case # 01151534 - Email sent in the am for a status on cases 01150866 and 01149172.  Can be closed.

Thanks

Jim

I have seen posts that some modems don't like a UPS.  I think someone went thru several before they got one that behaved right on their UPS.

Let me understand this... an electronic component that doesn't like conditioned power???  FWIW, that was in response to an initial comment from Exede about how "home power" can be an issue some times...

And I have several other pieces of equipment on the UPS that exhibit not problem. The modem is the only new item. Oh. I have calculated the load and I am well within the specs of the UPS. So. I guess it's still not the modem that has reset three more times today?

I'm sure a lot of us have been waiting to here you say if you have tried the modem without the UPS?

Jim, my friend. Been doing this for a long time. Know all about fault trees. Never needed to plug my old modem into the UPS so the new one was in the wall from the start. Perhaps I didn't mention that Exede used the "ratty power" excuse in he beginning. My bad.

Oh, Exede used the "ratty power" excuse at the very beginning so I pulled it from the wall and plugged it into my UPS. Next?

Can you look up the ticket for me since you seem so interested in this?

Can't do that.  I'm just an Exede customer.  No affiliation with the company.

I actually did know that...  just wonder if it would get one of the social media folks to pick up on my need for some closure on this one, but, alas, it has not.
