I’m getting very slow connection. Like under 1 mbps up and down. Can anyone help me diagnose the problem? Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: what does cable resistance & attenuation mean on 192.168.100.1.

Jordan, I cropped some of your picture, removing identifying information (the MAC address)

You're past your priority data on the Liberty plan, which puts you on the Liberty pass, with speeds up to 1-5 Mbps.  If you'd like more detailed info, send us an email at ViasatListens@viasat.com with your account information!

When does the cycle restart? And we are getting like .1 mbps down and up. It’s worse than what the liberty pass offers. My resistance and attenuation are low. Does that mean anything. Is there anything other than power cycling that I can do to make the experience a little better?

It has been bad the last few weeks. I think it is more than Spring Break. Viasat wouldn't be closing off subs if this was a temporary issue.

I think they are tinkering around, trying to find the  "sweet spot" where they can restrict our speed  to just enough that we can live with it and not bail on them.  Especially, those of us that got in on the 150GB Unlimited plans.  Also, as some other threads have noted, restricting large updates to very low download speeds.

Could be. They should have started smaller to begin with. 150GB of priority data was too much. Better to add than subtract data like they ended up doing. It is a bad look.

My guess is the video downgrader didn't have the impact they thought it would in maintaining the overall performance of the network

Might the usage of a VPN be affecting the speed, as well?
