It should be noted, this is while I am below the data cap, not using Liberty Pass!

But peak time all speeds decrease, earlier about 1000 AM, i was 22 mbps, now 13.5, tonight prob 6 PM til midnight 2.5.
V2 has not provided any assistance in spreading the load among beams.
I know they are having issues with some antenna deployment, orientation, too bad.
But yes they are probably still signing up new customers.

I'm going to make a phone call and you're going to go even slower. Watch.

I invite the CEO himself to my house during prime time to stream a movie with me. His choice, I’ll pay for the download. I’ll grill steaks, baked potatoes, and some pineapple. Someone with some power should experience what too many of us are currently. I bet he has cable.

I cannot accept your appraisal of my talents. Truly the smartest guy(s) on this forum is a "dead-heat-tie" with Old Labs and VeteranSatUser. I have a long way to go to so much as catch-up with them. Thanks for the complement, but it is undeserved.
I am on a single beam but there are two serving this area, #364 & 369, both not anywhere near loaded to capacity - yet.
The dinner thing with Mark Dankburg... He's a busy man but I'll show up as his representative and report back to him my dining experience featuring you as the Chef and the embarrassing lack of sufficient Internet speed, supplied by Viasat, to have Internet-streamed entertainment while I was there. I'm sure he will be disappointed to hear that, although when he hears there will be pineapple, he might just accept himself.

Ever get the feeling Viasat might fold up the antennas and try again?
That would require a planned outage and no mission-critical customers could be on VS2 when that was done. Our sudden speed decline may be an indicator that heavy bandwidth customers are being moved back to VS1 pending the antenna procedure's outcome.... if that's what is happening.

Nathan mentioned a lot of Viasat customers switching to Hughes Gen5, we may see quite a few of those customers come back to Viasat2 when available. Prime time congestion on Gen 5 in our area is so bad that new customers are being installed on the older Echo17 satellite. Echo19 has become congested in our beams in less than a year with evening speeds sub 1Mbps. But as always, congestion depends on your location and your specific beam.

What's the matter Tim... speed been a 'tad-bit' slow lately? It gets worse.
Mine? Oh it's fine... Not too bad... for a 12Mbps plan.

You enjoy putting your digs into Viasat more than you would enjoy good speed. If you want to be a cheerleader to every jerk that comes here knocking Viasat... have that fun you so cherish. Your wish is granted.
I don't get ticked by every person that comes here complaining about speed, just the one's that use that complaint as a method to slam Viasat unjustly. There will always be complaints about speed but the Attack part is where I take notice, and I've noticed you, a lot.
I've told you Viasat has little incentive to help you out. Keep giving them a black-eye at every opportunity and see how that works out for you.

Deku...........
I keep telling you that it's because you're living right. I have never called customer service in my life but then I don't have to, I have.... ummm.... let's call it.... Other channels of communication with Viasat.
YOU deserve a good speed, always.
The change in servers is probably based on the ping. Many speed-test sites use the ping to determine the one they think will be the fastest. Maybe one server for a second had a faster ping than one you were just at.
