I was told freedom would be offered in my area by the end of summer when I signed up and now I am being told there's not ETA... My son homeschools and I desperately need a better high speed data plan. Please help! I am paying nearly $1000 per month because he has to use cell phone data when our excede slows down. How and when can we get Freedom? I really need at least a 100 GB plan, preferably 150 GB. . That's why I signed up with excede.

Look its not soly on Exede for blame. When you go buy a car or a computer or a TV a phone a washer dryer etc. do you not do your research before buying? Do banks not check your credit score before just handing you money? I think so, point is all it takes is a little time and effort on the customer side before saying yes to getting service. I didn't come here because I wanted to I looked and looked for about a month trying to find something anything other than another satellite provider after wanting to leave hughnesnet but in the end Exede was my only other option and I did plenty of reading before making the appointment to have it installed.

Yes and no.  A buyer should do their research, yes, but a company, any company, should be responsible for what their sales people say (and their installers do).
