So, I have the Silver plan which I am not happy with at all! Every month it gets worse it seems.

At first the data would slow from between 8 to 11 pm after my recommended data cap. But I was able to still enjoy the internet just not at fast speeds. It as gotten so bad that now for nearly half of the month the internet is basically worthless. You clearly stated that after 150 G a month data is prioritized. But you fail to mention that my data on a "unlimited" plan would be chopped at the ankle with a pathetic 80kb or less stream rate? which can not compare to old school dial up AOL from 1998. All other plans have the Video Data Extender! Mine does not because of the unlimited data? Not to mention that on the start of the month when watching youtube a whole video will buffer four times in a show only to be wasted at every commercial which is always high definition.  Is that not technically stealing my data every time it restarts? I can see slowing my connection from 25 mb after the data cap but this restriction makes the computer useless. Why do you restrict data down to this level then say I have unlimited data??

Don’t listen to these so called Champions. Viasat,exceed- whatever they want to be called has ripped off many many customers. I got caught by them. The internet never worked because they said the updates used all of my data. I never got on line. I cancelled a week later. A week after that they turned me over to collections. They put up signs all over the rural area in North Florida but do not deliver. They survive off of the cancellation fees. My wife paid them $20 a month until it was paid so our credit would not be affected. I will rejoice the day this company gets caught and has to repay everyone and then disappears. Total scammers Be afraid, very afraid. #LegalPirates

I'd like to see proof of that. In my experience - fifteen years of being a Viasat customer, they have always given me exactly what my contract and plan stated I would receive for what I pay.

Currently that happens to be Unlimited data at up to 25 Mbps ( I actually get faster than that fairly often) with 150 GB Priority data, after using that, I will be deprioritized and, if my beam is busy at the time, my speeds will be slower, perhaps below 1 Mbps, for a few hours. I also have Viasat Voice which doe not count against my priority data usage and, works flawlessly as long as I have connection at all.

Of course I loose connection when there is a bad storm at my home, or my gateway up in Wyoming but, that's expected with satellite service of any species.

99% of the time, claims of being ripped off are a result of failure to read the contract and, other information Viasat provides either given by the installers or, on the Viasat websites. People don't read, they sign up thinking satellite is the same as DSL, Cable and Fiber and, then feel cheated because it isn't the same and, they would have known that had they done a bit of reading.

It is advertised as complete internet. No interruptions, no issues. The internet did not work once for us. Yes I signed the contract- my fault. I paid my disconnection fees so they can exist. It does happen due to many people in my area have had the same issue. Again you are one of their Champions. Best of luck to you

It is also advertised as "unlimited" data.

Unfortunately, for people that dont understand the issues and limitations of satellite internet (like yourself), Viasat internet can be underwhelming . For those of us that have no other better internet options, we are satisfied.

Viasat is advertised on TV here as FAST FOR EVERYONE and better than SLOW DSL. That is on TV stations based in Richmond Virginia. Very deceptive advertising. The service here is way over sold, constantly drops out, even on clear days and rarely hits the up to speeds no matter what time of day. I am finally free of VIASAT as the Verizon wireless finally improved enough to be usable. At least they give you a 14 day trial period to see if it works.

You do have the video data extender.  All "unlimited" plans have it.  But the "video data extender" simply downgrades your video resolution by lowering speeds.  One of the reasons why your Youtube buffers.

But I agree.  These plans are not "unlimited".  Go over your priority data and all bets are off on if you have a workable system or not.
