NOT megabytes per second... also exede ALWAYS says that when you are signing up for them... well for me i have the 12mbps and 3-5mbps as upload... the person said... its upto... but we cant guarantee it... so i said ok and that is fine... so therefore... i signed up... so yeah...

Please provide a link to or, a picture of an advertisement you saw that guaranteed a certain speed. I'm certain that Exede/Viasat would like to know where this advertisement is coming from since they do not guarantee speeds and, it is stated in the Customer Agreement which you signed.
"You acknowledge all download and upload Internet Service speeds are “up to,” are not guaranteed and will vary. " Customer Agreement section 1.1
You may review the rest of the Customer Agreement: here: http://www.exede.com/documents/master/customer-agreement.pdf

CrazyKatastrophe Gaming, Where did you see false advertising? Did a local deal promise you a certain speed? Exede, like all ISPs, advertises speeds UP TO either 12 or 25 mbps, depending on the plan you select.
Many things can affect your speed ranging form your home network set up and, what is running on each connected device to congestion at peak times on your beam to equipment and alignment issues.
If you send an email with your account information to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account and contact information, and ask them to investigate your slow speeds, they will take a look and see if there appears to be a problem that can be fixed.
If, however you are referring to latency (ping) 600 to 900 ms is normal and, is a restriction of satellite internet due to the distance the signal must travel to reach the satellite.

Spoken like a TRUE Company man! Sell whatever snake oil the company tells you to sell, no matter who it hurts. BTW; All data transmission, including your telephone calls that have to go more than 200 miles go through satellite transmission (Even dial-up with less than 10ms latency). Over-subscription just like snake oil is resold over and over until there are no more victims to sell to.

This is more of a Viasat fan site than anything else. Bev doesn't work for Viasat. She is one of the people that viasat views as quite helpful.
