my speed since the end of july has gone from bad to terrible

Same here! Very irritating, nothing loads properly and our free zone hours are crap!! Looking for a new company!! After being with the company over a year, I'm truly disgusted!!!!

Me, too! Very frustrating! Slow updates on basic programs! Slow loading pages! Can't check emails without waiting forever and then coming up with a slow connectivity problem.

The favorite comment from Excede employees is they want to know the issue and they are willing to get them resolved.  Guess what?  Once you burn thru your 10mg, you end up with a crappy dial-up type speed.  Yes, it's better than 56kbps, but with servers today, the 500kbps that Excede give you, a lot of the website servers time-out before refreshing a page.  This morning I had to try three times to open the Excede Dashboard as my speed was so slow that Excede would not complete the handshake.

I was someone who did NOT do enough homework before I bought.  Now I am stuck with this:

Download Speed: 487 kbps (60.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 176 kbps (22 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 719 ms
Jitter: 98 ms

We don't do netflix or download videos during the day.  We strictly limit our operating system updates to after midnite.  The only thing we do is email and the occasional MSNBC video streaming.  

Once I burn thru my 10gb, I DO NOT WANT TO BE MILKED FOR MORE $$$$.

THIS IS MY ISSUE.  A VIRTUALLY CHOKED OFF INTERNET BANDWIDTH.

 JUST GIVE ME 2 MBPS on a CONSISTENT BASIS. !!!

I do apologize that there are issues with your usage. I took a look over your account and I do see that you have gone over on your usage. I see you have used 15.76 GB of usage out of 10 GB. When you do go over we do slow your speeds down and sometimes they get slowed down to almost nothing and this could be because of how many other people are online in your area. If you go over on your data and your area in Congested you will be slowed down more. Unfortunately the only way to get faster speeds is to get more GBs. We are having a Great Gig Give-a-way, this gives you 5 GB of data for the next 6 months so if you like I can add those to your account for you and that will get you back up to normal running speeds.

To this, I have the following response:

 "because of how many other people are online in your area”  is a LAME EXPLANATION.  The reason my speed slows down is because EXEDE SETS A CAP ON MY BANDWIDTH.  You guys need to be honest and get off trying you MILK everyone to buy extra data.  Just provide a good service for what your customers need.

Please tell me what the setting are for my account, once I exceed my 10Gb.  

btw, it just dawned on me how Exede got it's name.  It must be Exede's business model to entice it's customers to EXCEED their data limits and then PUNISH them with bandwidth so SLOOOWWW that they almost have to purchase more data SO THAT THEY HAVE ENOUGH BANDWITH to function.  At <500kbps many servers time out before providing a refreshed page.  Just look at Audible and DropBox for example.

GIVE US BETTER SERVICE, NOT JUST SELL US MORE DATA.
