slow speeds, no connection, very frusterated

Very disappointed with my service so far. It's splotchy, doesn't work half the time. I called last week and asked why, they said we ran out of data. I upgraded the plan to 25gb. It started working great right after. Four days later it just stopped working. Said we were connected but nothing worked. I log in to excede online thru my verizon card and it says we have 16 days left on the billing cycle and have used 6.3mg..... Also, when it does work only one person can be connected and it doesn't work for the other person. So frustrating.

Yes that does not sound right. I'm sure one of the Exede rep's can help you. Email them at this address: exedelistens@viasat.com be sure to include your account # and contact information.

When you say only one person can connect at a time, then do your have a router connected to your modem? 

What are the lights doing on the modem? Add the line to your browser and then past back the display with any personal information black out. http://192.168.100.1/?page=modemStatus

Look for red marks on this modems admin page: http://192.168.100.1/?page=TRIAStatus

This might give you a good start at finding a fix. If not the techs at Exede will pull out the big screwdrivers and help you out.

How long have you had the satellite dish installed? Could it have been bumped and knocked around?

The Exede rep's here on the forum always seem to figure out the mistakes.

Wow really and you will email again and again with no help. Sorry but I recommend you write your state attorney general they will investigate.   This is a rip off.

I thought mine was going a little slower today, but one the weather is really cloudy, and noticed it was just a few web sites. So all is ok with me.

But, I do have a question. I have noticed all of these companies from landline and cable; I know there is a big difference, but they are doubling their speeds. I just wondered is the speed we are getting is the maximum speed you can get from a satellite? I am ok with the speed, but would love to have a faster download speed. The only type of internet I get is satellite and glad there is the option of getting it this way, but just wondered about the maximum speed that can come from a satellite. Just throwing this in, if there is a higher speed, do you think that Exede will raise our speeds without raising the cost? Thank you for any information.
