Slow Speeds during "free zone"

  I have been having problems with slow speeds during the so called "free unlimited zone". here is is 4 am and there is nothing wrong with my modem and my download speed is 17.8 KB? It has been like this for a week straight! Really? This is worse than dial up! I just had my satellite realigned just two weeks ago. So it is not that either! And I have also had issues of my data being used up way before I think it should be also! Which I will start to document. If Excede does not solve these issues then I may have to drop their service. They obviously are not keeping their side of the contract. And after I start to document this stuff I wouuld like to see them take me to court or collections. I dont think it is any coincdence that there are others having issues also. This is a joke!

I have had that same problem, it turned out to be my router not the internet.  I would take my network cable out of the back of my router and plug it directly into my laptop and everything worked great and if I plugged back into my router I would have intermitant issues.  Just a suggestion, I think alot of these issues posted here could be router related and nothing to do with the Exede internet.

Its amazing that lots of people seem to have router issues then if it just the router...we all must have the same router... lol NOT! its also amazing that my internal home network speeds are 4+ Mbps when accessing over wifi on the same router!

Same problem since ive been with exede for a year now and every single day its slow even during free pass hours. They are full of it.. They should remove their slogan ..fastest cos its all bull.

Hi Michael,
Have you contacted an Exede rep here on the forum?

Send an email with your account # and personal info to exedelistens@viasat.com and explane the details you are having.

They can see much more from the backside of your modem/ connection and usually fix most of the issues customers have. As Roger mentioned above, the problems can be other issues and not the Exede service in general.

 Amazing that my router just magically fixed itself tonight... I did not do anything to anything as far as my internet goes.... And now I have speed..;. which just PROVES MY POINT..... my miserable speeds last night were coming directly from Excede! wow.... what a joke... Oh I guess some of you would ask.. why complain with the speed I am seeing... because that just means it had nothing to do with my end! And it will happen again I am sure of it.... but makes no difference to me... they better get it fixed....

I'M HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. MY DOWNLOAD SPEED IS 0.50MBPS AND THE UPLOAD SPEED IS 0.38 MBPS
THIS REALLY SUCKS TO BE PAYING THIS MUCH MONEY FOR LESS SPEED AND DATA AND STILL GIVING LIMITATIONS ON USAGE AND TOO MUCH CONGESTION...

Having the same problem slow one 3 weeks out of a month one week decent we can use it don't under stand no way we could use 10 GB in a week don't watch movies after the first weekend get this page that says we track 100% of our data allowence. No way we could use that much
