I am extremely disappointed that I have just upgraded to Freedom plan and my download and upload speeds are the same, point 23 mps. Why am I paying for this?

Has the change even taken affect yet? I only ask because " just upgraded" implies 4-5 hours ago when written and am sure it takes some time to transition.

What does "mps" stand for? If it was suppose to be mbs "mega bits / second" then OK. What does the Freedom plan offer in terms of speed? The freedom plan is not available in our area - just curious.

Up to 12 Mbps, I don't think it's offered on any of the Exede 5 Mbps augmented beams (older satellite)..

MPS is like a speedometer, not to be confused with MB or GB which measure your data. Exede averages around 12mbps download but if you have our wifi modem with speedboost you can see speeds up to 25mbps. WIth that said if a plan is changed and you've been past your data limit, it does take time to take effect and a reboot of the modem may help. Otherwise email us at exedelistens@viasat.com and we can look into this.

First, you bumped a 9 month old thread. Second, you need to learn how sat Internet works and why you can't have unlimited data.

Have had the plan several weeks. Notice that's .23 mps that I'm getting, not 23.

I got that fully so if you've got it weeks ago and a reboot hasn't fixed it there's a blatant issue that needs to be fixed. Call us at 855-463-9333 or email us at exedelistens@viasat.com
