Well, today is my first day with exede and I can't get above 0.75 Mbps on my download speed! I'm on the new 150 GB plan. I was told that my modem needed 24 hours to "learn" and that there was "congestion" on my spot beam (325) today!?!?!?!?

Hi Troy,  Please call Exede Customer Service at 855.463.9333 and ask for technical support for immediate support. Your speed should be faster than .75 Mbps download.  We will need to do some troubleshooting to figure out what is causing that issue.  You can also send an email to exedelistens@viasat.com with your account information.

I called AGAIN today and was again told it is "congestion" which is code for too many folks using bandwidth.

Troy, me too. Today my download speed rocketed in at a whopping 1.21 speed.
I was also on hold, 2x for 20 mins each and dropped.

Your in the same beam I am in. Speeds have been like that since I have had it installed. See if your near a tower where you get WISP. Hillbilly wireless out of cave city. Unlimited data..NO CAP.

Hi Bill,  I'm sorry to hear your internet is slow.  There can be many reasons for slow speeds but it is because of the commercial clients. Please send your account information to exedelistens@viasat.com and we'll take a look.

Here is a link to an article about slow speeds and how to troubleshoot it http://help.exede.net/articles/General/Troubleshooting-slow-internet-speeds

Seems like all responses from exede are just passing people on to next person. You guys know you have an issue with your system, you are trying to fix issue by moving clients over to new equipment which will reassign MAC address issues. I want my modem updated now to this so called new system that I found out about from an unnamed engineer for your company.

That email goes to us moderating on the forum. It's just that we don't want any personal account information posted on this page due to it being an open forum.

Been on Exede for almost 3 weeks.  Speeds suck and I am having the same problem.  Did your problem get fixed and if so, how? Can you expand on the new equipment and MAC address issue?

Not that it is in anyway a solution, but I am glad I am not the only one who very recently am having issues.

A few things might be responsible. If you're on the Liberty Plan and are in Liberty Pass, you'll see slower speeds as you'll average 1-5mbps during the mornings, afternoons, and late nights. During peak hours (typically after 5pm), it could drop below that range.

If you are seeing this speed and are NOT on the Liberty Pass please call us at 855-463-9333 and we can diagnose and troubleshoot the issue for you.

In some cases of a very congested beam we are working on resolving speed issues and we'll certainly see a lot of relief following our launch of ViaSat 2 in March/April but in the meantime our teams are finding fixes to manage the flow.
