Let me guess. You have a plan that offers you 150GB of priority data?

If that is the case, Viasat is trying to push you off that plan for your speeds to be restored. You either have to change plans by paying more, switching to a plan that offers less, or cancel Viasat and find an alternative internet provider.

Between this and the billing problems, one lucky lawyer is going to end up making a lot of money with a class action lawsuit.

Betty, weekends and holidays (Presidents Day) are notoriously bad due to all the children being home from school.  So when you add this to a relatively poor performing ISP the result is your slow to almost non existent internet connection.

I am on the 150 25Mbps plan and i just checked my speed at 10:00 AM, 24.2 Mbps, which is reasonable and what i would consider ok for my plan, but over the week end and certainly during prime time we are down to anywhere between 1 and and 2, i've actually gotten as low as 660 kbps.

And this is with about having used only 30 of my 150.  As i have stated in previous posts i have been a supporter of  Viasat because during the past i pretty much had 10 or even 15 Mbps during the prime time, but that stopped about a month or so ago.  Now i too am barely on so Viasat changed or whatever the language to "Median", what a joke, sorry A** company, oh well we have V because we have few to no other options.

I'll be around a few more months at most, fortunately the county/power company is actually stringing FIOS.   I have flags in the ground to my house showing the path of the cable.

Since i haven't been teaching this semester i haven't had to be on the internet and so i have been doing other more productive things than aimlessly searching and waiting for web pages to load..

I guess I have to thank V for that, :)
