why do you slow the internet down between 1am - 5am is it because its the free zone. you make it impossible to download. I have tried to address this issue for several years and I still find you refuse to resolve this issue. I find it deceiving and a big fail on your part of our contract. You say to download between these hours, I only received this information from you and still find all internet connections on all my devices to either not connect or crawl so slow that eventually they time out. This has been happening for years, how exactly do you get by with this???

Simple supply and demand at work.

Fixed amount of satellite bandwidth shared among all users and the demand for free stuff is limitless, the result is slower speed - always been that way. The free zone has only ever offered that data will not be counted against usage. Speed has always been determined by current bandwidth utilization of all customers. Despite a recent drop in overall subscriber counts, demand by users and data hungry applications is up and the satellite is tapped out on many beams.

ViaSat is addressing the issue with a new satellite to increase the bandwidth (it takes time and the satellite is the bottleneck).
