Sling/SYFY/Faceoff; slowly getting worse with buffering issues. Sling used to buffer episodes once or maybe twice; current episode has buffered 13 times thus far. Streaming device is a roku3.

Aron, what resolution do you have the Roku set to? A lower resolution may reduce buffering by reducing how much data needs to load to stream the program.

Also, if you have used all of your data for the month, even on a Liberty plan, speeds will be slower, thus more buffering required. That is especially true during peak usage hours. (usually about 2Pm until 5 AM local time)

If you have priority data remaining and, off peak speed tests show consistently slow speeds, please email that information as well as your account and contact information to exedelistens@viasat.com so that they can look into it and see if there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Good Thinking Bev; I will look into that.  I typically point to 'Sling' as the issue; NetFlix and Amazon Prime rarely -- if ever -- buffer with the same static settings.  I just noticed it getting worse and wanted to see if the Exede community was seeing the same issues or if there was a resolution.

Sling has been reported by several others as having severe buffering issues recently. This is not an Exede issue. Amazon and Netflix don't have the problem. My guess is that Sling has grown to rapidly and doesn't have the server capacity to handle the requests.
