Joyce,

I had that problem (or it might be the same problem) with my Vtech DECT 6.0 (5 handset system). I would set the time on it and as soon as a call came in Exede would reset it to the time zone of the Exede system (about 2 hours different).

I checked the timezone set in the Exede system and it was correct (EST in my case).

I had to completely reset my Vtech system and retrain all the handsets and then the Vtech system would stay on the correct time (Exede would no longer reset it). However although my caller ID will now give the correct time that a call came in, if they left a message on the Exede answering system it would give the wrong timezone.

I tried to work with Exede but I never resolved that issue. However at least I managed to stop the annoying resting of my phone system's time.

Hope this helps

Charlie

Go to your Exede Voice management page and make sure the correct time zone is set there, or call them at 855-463-9333.

new question:   people on the other end of my landline phone complain of a bad connection ---keeps cutting out.  I like to use speaker mode and never had a problem with this before.  Is there a way to remedy this?

A slight (1 second) delay is one of the "features" of VOIP via Satellite.

I am afraid you just have to get used to it and allow for the delay or you end up talking over each other. It is manageable over time, with practice, but it is not avoidable signal going to outer space and back and all tha.

Hello Joyce,

Unfortunately we cannot control or change the time itself on your home phone. I would suggest resetting your phone line to see if this helps with your time issue.
