Should my pole that the dish is mounted on be able to wobble? The pole was set in concrete and the base is stable but if you give the dish a small push it will wobble out about an inch I guess. We have strong straight line winds in my area. Im afraid that when we do have strong winds the dish will be able to move back and forth. I have had a few drops of service and wonder if its because the pole and dish aren't stable or wobble free? I was told that the beam of satellite is a small beam, not like DTV. If so then maybe this is why I lose service on a clear day. Neighbor doesnt lose service but her dish is mounted to vinyl sided home.

Thanks Lizz. Its seems to be too flexible to me. I shouldn't be able to easily push on the dish and move it with 1 finger.

I would also like to make mention that Jim on this board, drove 80 miles and got me back online. This was done out of the goodness of his heart and trying to make sure people are satisfied with the Excede service.

I've seem to have the same problem my service was installed in October and the dish seems to wobble and where the installer installed the dish it looks like it has more of a view of the corner of my front porch and might have a tree blocking the view when it blooms this spring. If we get strong winds I'm constantly losing signal. The installer was very unprofessional was in a big hurry to install the dish and leave didn't even show me how to set up my account to check data or set my email up.

Your going to love this answer. I was having the same problem, and the guy that came out to fix it, told me I needed to water my pole every day... I kid you not. I now have an added chore to my list of things to do everyday and that's to water my pole. Can't seem to get the dog to pee on it for me, but that's what this company deserves....

Donna make sure you send an email to excedelistens@viasat.com explaining your problem. I havent had a problem since they sent out 1 of their employees to fix my botched install. The first was done by a local dealer and was a nightmare until ViaSat sent 1 of their installers out. The pole that I paid the first installer for and didnt need.......is being used with an over the air antenna for local TV stations when its storming and I lose satellite TV. I am enjoying my Lemonade from the lemons the first installer gave me.......no problems since then.

My service is down. How can I get a fix earlier than the 29th? Can I point and peak myself?

It is not really something you can do yourself, however, you should try contacting a local dealer, they will likely be able to get out to check things out much more quickly.
