im moving into a rural area that can only be serviced by viasat and online gaming is not possible.  Should sell/get rid of my pc and give up my gaming career at 13?

You can still play games like GTA or RDR2. But you won't be able to play first person shooter games online.

So solo gaming works great.

Or maybe you can get wireless and then just use it when you play FPS games online.

At 13 you don’t yet have a career. And there are very few gamers who are able to actually become professionals and make a living at it. I would recommend looking at an alternate career for the future and keep gaming as a fun hobby, unless by the time you are 18 you really are showing the chops to try to go pro.

And, yes, it will be nearly impossible to game at anything close to a “career” level over Viasat.

I'd keep your computer and use it to startup an eBay business.

I remember when E-bay selling fees were like 5%, now forcing you to use Paypal and charging commission on shipping charges selling fees are almost 15%. I can't believe they still have no real competition.

PCs can be used for more than gaming.  No need to get rid of it.
