Shady sales calls offering packages that do not exist

I had my install today, it was terrible.  The tech failed to activate it.  Then I came to realize that the package that was sold to us as a “bundle” with direct tv for $19.99 is the slowest internet since dial up.  The sales rep, when she sold it to me, told me that I could upgrade it to $29.99 if I wasn’t happy.  I wasn’t happy so I called to upgrade the service to the “$29.99” package which to my surprise, does not exist.  neither does the $19.99.  I was on a $59.99 package which was NO WHERE NEAR what I agreed to and I am not about to upgrade to the silver package for $100 or the gold for $150. I have cancelled my service, requested the early termination fees be waived since I wasn’t even a customer for more that 12 hours.  I also would like to get my $65 for installation that I paid.

I have never been treated so awful by a company who never seemed to know what was going on.

So basically you wanted to save a little money each month by doing the "bundling" thing?

Best to do ones research ahead of time and know what you are getting into, both the pluses and minuses. Switching to Viasat Internet just because it is part of a bundle isn't necessarily the right answer.

Research is always good, however if you have any of the documents that list the plan you were given and the fact that the install was not completed, ie activated to insure everything worked then you should report this installer/seller  to Exede.  I am sure they would want to investigate and possibly terminate them as a representative, subcontractor etc.

They may assist you with recouping some of your costs and terminate your contract.

Contact Exede.
