Is there anyone who can help set up service in Central America? I live in a rural area of Panama with 2G (yes, it still exists) cell service. I have satellite service (iDirect on T11N) but it's expensive and slow compared to what Viasat 2 can offer. Who can I contact to set up service here? I can fly a technician down here if necessary..

Thanks for your fast reply. To my understanding Viasat 3 is not for launch 5until 2020. So even though Viasat 2 footprint covers my area, it's not possible to connect to it?

Hi Adam. Service over Central America is coming a little sooner than that since Viasat-2 does cover most of the countries (although there is a bit of a gap in Southern Panama). Right now it's a question of whether we're doing the installs or if we have a partner in the country. I'll see what I can find out.

As we are still looking into eventual expansion into these countries at this time we do not offer service in Guatemala at this time. Unfortunately this forum is entirely based on our residential services in the USA so we wouldn't be the point of contact to inquire about these future plans.

I would be most appreciative. According to the best I can make out of your map, my home is covered (Atlantic coast 70 km West of the city of Colón) avd my farm on the Pacific side (Cebaco Island) would also fall within the footprint. I can import the modern and dish, And if it's a matter of getting an installer here I'm more than happy to pay his transport costs.

Looks like your home is within the beam, but Cebaco is not.
So I'll take this gold-plated Ford Model T of a dish 1.6 meters wide and this iDirect modern and exile them to Cebaco, where they will be near the center of the T11N beam. And put your Ferrari on my house and vrooom vrooom I'll have internet that actually works like in a real country... Where I won't have to hide the wifi password from house guests with iPhones, or threaten Android users with crucifixion if they don't set my hotspot up as a metered network.

It's a fluid situation. The map doesn't exactly look the way it was originally intended due to the antenna issue.
So I can see why they haven't released it. If they could get the antenna up...it would change again!
I invite them to visit my end-of-the-planet farm with their measuring instruments to check if their defective antenna reaches me, and if it does, to leave behind a modern, a signed contract, and a new customer
