I know you’re venting, but if you want help, you need to be more descriptive.

It’s really what the forum is meant to do—-provide help from other customers. While ViaSat employees are active here, venting and such really doesn’t get you much but a response to email them. If the OP doesn’t want help, what’s the point of posting? Mods could delete the post, ban the user, etc. ViaSat actually lets you speak your mind here which is refreshing, and people are willing to help.

The first average step is to get assistance thru customer service at a call center provided by viasat. This customer service, the forums suggest, isn't that great. After that more people come here to complain. And there's much of a reason after speaking with them on the phone to believe you will get any help. I've not seen any thing at all to suggest that anyone has been helped by customer service in this forum. I have seen a  public showing that doesn't look like more than a smoke show. Actually the only thing helpful that I've seen is from other customers who line up to tell others to smile and enjoy subpar service.

It's probably because, like most other service related forums, a customer posts a complaint, is directed to email/contact support directly, does so, is helped and doesn't come back to report that.
Forums usually only see the complaints./problems.

Ron,

I'm sorry you feel that way.  You might not see us helping publicly on the forum, because we tend to ask for personal account information, which we will not do in the open forum.  Most of what we do here ends up as email correspondence.

That being said, if you have an issue, please email us!  ViasatListens@viasat.com

Ken has hit the nail on the head.  People are helped all the time and never come back to say so.  It is a very ignorant person to make blanket statements based on a few people venting on a COMPLAINT forum.

Donald, if your modem is not working, you need to contact Viasat here: https://www.exede.com/contact-us/

Contacting customer service is the first step in an effort in futility.
