When I try any website, the computer goes to the Excede Service Activation screen. It worked fine earlier today. My service was activated over a year ago. No one to talk to on Sunday so no service until hopefully tomorrow after work.

Rick I don't know if they are working today or not, try the exede face/book page there might be someone there.

I had that problem one time, before I knew about this forum, used a friends computer to cancel 40 listings on e/bay Started to get my old computer out and go back to Dial up. Well this happened twice, but the first time Kimberly walked me thru it, the second time it was the free virus program Avast that wouldn't allow it to connect. I think telling people about this forum should be mandatory. I guess I'll say thanks for all the nice people that don't take the time. Susan,,, most don't even acknowledge they are up and running again.

Having the exact se issue here and it has happened a couple times before, what is going wrong?

Have you tried to reboot the modem? And can you see the modem status page? Then next thing would be send exedelistens@viasat.com an email with your account number or phone number and they can look and see what's going on. Doubt anyone there right now I think they left hlaf hour ago but they will get back to you tomorrow.

I've texted everything short of unplugging everything and reconnecting it all. Last time it happened that's what I did and it worked but geesh, that's a pain! Wish I knew what was causing it or what's makes it happen out of the blue. :/ Thanks, I'll do what you said and email if reboot doesn't work!

Oh, and yes the status page looks good, everything says I am online but keep getting the service activation screen. :(

Lindsey, I did! I unplugged the modem and router for the night and next morning connected Excede straight to my desktop (no router) and it connected so I forgot the old network on all of our devices, reset the router, took all my router files off the computer and re-installed the router, connected the new network to all our devices and it worked. I still don't know what was happening but it seems to be something to do with the IP address? I don't know what is going on, it has happened randomly three times in the past several months. It takes me to the Excede Service Activation screen and asks for a Customer Code. Thank you for following up!!! I didn't even know you existed and calling the number for Excede has proved frustrating in the past! :)

Hey, yes! I finally just unplugged my modem and router and went to bed. The next morning I connected Excede straight into my modem and got connected on my desktop without the router connected. I then figured it to be a router issue so I removed all my router stuff from my computer, reset the router, and re-installed it again. I took each of our devices (phones, ipads, etc) and forgot the old network and connected to the new and it all worked again. This has happened three times before over several months and it seems to have something to do with the IP address. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous. lol I wish I knew exactly WHAT was making it happen and why it just randomly happens and why I get the Excede Service Activation Screen when it does. :/ Thanks for following up with me, it sure is frustrating to have to go through all that and not understand what the problem is!

Charlotte, did you ever talk to Exede Lindsey or Exede Diana about it to have them look at your account from their side? As most will contest here, and as I had when I had Hughesnet, I had my router plugged in to the modem and never unplugged and never had any issues. Even now with Exede I have the same router plugged in to the Exede modem and have never got that screen. That's why it makes me think it's something weird on the back side that they need to look at for you.

I am having this exact same issue on December 18, 2015. I'm going to call Exede customer service to see whether it's a problem on their end or mine.

Exede customer service fixed my internet connection after only 10 minutes on the phone! Thanks Exede!!! (For anyone who's wondering, one of their satellites was being a little glitchy. They ran diagnostics then rebooted my modem wirelessly.)
