This tutorial is for Windows 10, but other versions of Windows are very similar. This will show you what is using your network adapter at the time, whether it is using the internet or not is for you to determine but, in general, if it's using your network, it's using the internet. (Identifying/security data removed from images.)

Right click on the taskbar, click on Task Manager.

Click on the Performance Tab in the Task Manager.

On the Performance screen click on Open Resource Monitor at the bottom.

Click on the Network Tab in the Resource Monitor. The screen will show you what is using your network and, how much it's using at the moment.

Also for those of you that use Norton, they have a new router, called Core, software and the hardware, waiting for mine. Besides excellent protection, a major concern for everyone on the internet, you will be able to track your usage in real time with the free app on your iPhone, or android os etc.

You will also be able to see all users and shut down any user from your phone, put restrictions on data and sites that are inappropriate.

I'll report more info on the capabilities of the router once i receive it.

I am hopeful that Norton Core, software/hardware and the app will give me continued excellent virus, malware, identity protection and easy access and real time information and control over my network.

That is a good router, very good throughput capacity. remote control of users is a nice feature too and, the real time usage tracking is great.

For now my own tracking software and the SB2+ Modem/router is good for me but, if I decide I want a stand alone router behind the SB2+, I will get that one since I've used Norton for years.
