Jerry,

I'm sorry Viasat service isn't meeting your expectations.  Please email us at viasatlistens@viasat.com so we can address your concerns.

Please spare me your sanctimonious, "we are here for you" messages.  I have had discussions with your so called Customer Service and all you do is regurgitate your standard response sheets.  It is a waste of time to try and discuss anything with Viasat, all it does is lead to more frustrations and zero results.

Jerry, it is strange today how it seems a common practice for customer service employees to talk down to customers. A while ago I called a tooling wholesaler about a product I knew they carried due to the fact I spoke to the manufacturer whose products they distributed. The salesman said no such thing existed, I said it did and could I talk to someone more familiar with that product line. The guy told me to calm the f**k down. I just told him his company just lost a customer and hung up. I actually then went to his company's website and ordered the item  he said did not exist. The only reason I tried ordering by phone was because it was back in my Viasat days and it had started to rain.

Maybe after Jerry fixes his keyboard caps lock problem, he can ask us for advice on what can be done to resolve whatever it is that has him disappointed with his service.

I don't have a Caps Lock problem, this company and their scams just piss me off that much, so worry about the format of your replies and not others.  If you don't have anything useful to say, keep it to yourself, you appear more intelligent that way.  Thanks.  Have a great day.

Just one of the several reasons is they continually throttle service to less than .3 mbps, to the point where I can't even load their own website to chat with them, all while continually charging me over 200 per month for a service that I can't use for an entire month.  Please spare me the song and dance about after certain usage, blah blah blah, there is ZERO justification for throttling someone's speed to that level, especially when they are paying for the highest tier the company has to offer and considering that I have to work from home at times, they are costing me money on top of it, but because of my physical location, I am stuck with these scammers.  I could list several more reasons, but it is a waste of my time as I have had discussions with them several times and all they do is regurgitate their standard response sheets and have no interest in helping their Customers, just overcharging them for poor, and for parts of each month, zero service.

Have you looked at Hughesnet? Most everybody has at least two sources of internet. While both might be satellite, perhaps one of the two would give better results, and depending on location, the answer is not always the same.

Just another example, I am right now watching my internet speed fluctuate between .23 and .25 (which has been the case since 3pm today).  Is Viasat really trying to sell the fact that there is that much usage at 12:30 in the morning that my speed should be at such an unusable level that I have had to retry posting this reply four times in order to get it to go through.  This company is an absolute joke and scamming people out of hundreds of dollars every month, just because of where they live and have no other options.  Frustrated and pissed off doesn't even begin to describe my feelings on this scamming company.

If you have a plan with 150GB priority data, this would explain it.  They are tying to get you to move to a different plan.

Customers who have the 150GB priority data Unlimited and Freedom plans are being advised by ViaSat to change their plans to something different due to speed issues with those plans.  Basically, those plans have been slowed to encourage people to switch.  Affected customers were sent an email.

Yep. If you want to continue to be a customer of Viasat and perhaps get better speeds, you have to change your plan. The choice is yours!

Jerry, they don't want you on the max plan. They over sold the max plan and can't deliver so they are throttling people well before they hit the data threshold. They changed the rules in the middle of the game so to speak. I am no longer a Viasat customer, but many people posting on here shared the e-mail that said people on the 150 GB plans were going to get treated to slow speeds no matter how much data they used.

Since my comments are being deleted on a regular basis, those of you who are following this thread just got some insight as to what is being done about the scandal involving the Freedom 150 and some unlimited plans.  I think followed threads appear in your email inbox.
