Recycle Dish

I like in a small military community and there are tons of dishes around me. I was wondering if I were to take the old ones down for people if there was anyway I would be able to make any money off of the actual dish and or send back the equipment to exede if it were even possible. I would love to get some feedback or what should I do with the dishes.

You might get a few dollars at a local scrap metal yard, but they're virtually worthless except, perhaps, to the next installer who might reuse them.

Certainly not worth the money it would cost to ship them anywhere, and Exede, Dish Network, DIRECTV, etc. don't want old, used dishes returned anyway.

Well I know people will pay to get them taken down but I know some of the receivers have lead and such would the companies take those back free of charge.
Any good ideas?

Most of the receivers in the last few years are leased so, yes, companies want those receivers returned or else they'll charge the customer an equipment non-return fee. But they won't pay for them, other than shipping.

That would be fine they just have lead and such which scrap yards might charge me to dispose of but thanks for the information very helpful.
