Awesome! I was a little worried about multiplayer. Have you tried that?  Every time I see the abbreviation I'm thinking it's R2D2 for some reason.

That's great to hear! I'm a game system generation behind so I haven't tried it yet. I loved the first one but I haven't been able to play videogames in a hot minute. It's probably going to be a game I play like 4 years from now.

Other than Fortnight I think RDR2 is the 2nd biggest multi-player game to hit last year so that's good news!

I play Rift, PWI, AION, Battlefield 1 and 4, DAI Multiplayer and SCUM regularly. With SCUM, you do need to find a high ping server that won't kick you for latency since official servers cap it at 225 Ms due to high ping actually being an unfair advantage over low ping players in that game but, all of those games play just fine.

I'm 68 years old and still enjoy video games. Brad RDR2 is one of the most engaging RPG's you will ever play. You need to try it. Looks great on Xbox One.

James, I agree!  I'm slowly working through the epilogue in single player, I don't want the game to end!!

Does it still after the September update? I have Hughesnet currently. Before the September update, I could play it really well for Satellite internet. After the Summer update, I can't be in a free roam lobby for more than 5 minutes without getting disconnected.

But, I can play the pvp and free roams fine. But, not free roam for reason....

Real internet much be nice. 2019 and it shouldn't be a issue. Wireless technology has really improved and can be a out of range for wire solution.

Half Life gave us Portal. Why not more Portals either IDK! More fun from Valve.

But look in the game HOF. You are going to find Civilization, X-Com, Half-Life and Fallout right up there.

Portal's one I don't have, but I know it's acclaimed, especially Portal 2, and they have the bundle for $14.99.

Still, I rarely play the games I have, including those I have for my Raspberry Pi 3 B+.

Get Portal. You wont be disappointed! It is not really a game, but a series of puzzles. You have to work your way through rooms, figuring out how to use the gun to get through.

I don't ~really game, don't have that kind of time.  But, maybe 5 hours a year or so, this year, ...more than that....  I was keeping gaming systems around to keep visiting kids parked, but I moved to PC only.  Don't have to buy new systems, and I can find free, or deals like I posted.  Got a fairly big library with very little out of pocket, can't beat that.  Don't need to have the latest and greatest.

Was thinking about a Pi, but I have Launchbox setup.

HL2 is good so far.  Invincible plus all weapons and ammo makes it a bit interesting, also noclip to see outside the area.  I got Cinematic mod.  Controversial, some "things" sitting around, questionable artwork perhaps, but overall looks ok.  Replacement Alyx looks like a Brazillian prostitute (or something along that line), "improved" stock is probably better there, unless you're into that sort of thing....  Many mods, looks like it is well worth paying for if you like that type.

I did go through Portal 1, 2.  1 is very short, 2 is "better", community chambers add to it, and easy to make your own.

Most important thing to remember is -the cake is a lie-.

I got Prey for about $7 on a steam sale somewhere (forget, few months ago).  It will take more than my i5-8400 integrated graphics will do.  Not in a hurry, probably won't get to look at it until sometime next year anyway.  They say it's sort of Bioshock-ish, which I also got them cheap years ago, been through most of them.
