Just got set up with Exede yesterday, have had satellite internet for close to 12 years through different companies. I read through the different discussions before switching, and went through all devices to turn off things like live tiles, then downloaded the addblocker and flashblocker. Auto updates for windows has always been set to let me know when available. With the last provider my kids and I would go through the 15 GB in three weeks, but I didn't realize that the 15GB "anytime" was 15GB all the time, the "extra" 15GB was used during certain hours after the first 15 were all gone.
This morning I see our use is at 0.8GB, so is this going to possibly run us over the 15GB? Is there anything else I could turn off or do to cut this down more? We don't watch youtube or Netflix or play online games. My 12 year old does have some homework that's done online, and my 21 and 18 year olds don't really do a lot of things online. When there's no school, I do expect that they will all be taking advantage of the LNFZ (which I did last night.)
We live in a highly rural place where we don't even get cell signal, so we all have wifi calling phones and I do have a habit of texting a lot, (more than all three of my kids together) which is probably going to end up being what takes most of our data.
