Slower service lately

Evening, We switched and started using exede internet and phone about 5 months ago and I have recommended to lots of people but the last month or so it has really went down hill, My internet is a lot slower. I don't know if it is because of more users or what? Also every time a storm comes in we loose signal, which leaves us with no home phone, cell phone, or internet because our cell booster runs off the internet also. Now I am really questioning why I even left my previous provider for the same type of service and same price because my bill has increased also?

It's been up for 5 hours.   And this IS a help line.  Exede created this forum to help customers with any issues they may have.  You say no customers are happy with Exede?  Well, you better tell them to stop spending hundreds of millions of dollars launching satellites....because nobody likes them....

Where i live there is no landline for internet, and it sucks cause i pay alot more for satalite. Anyway i thought getting exede phone sounded good but it's not. When someone calls me they say my phone rings 4 or five times when i get 1 or 2 rings, and when i answer i get no one they hang up and i have to call them back. Now what really sucks is that i can't cancel my contract cause i will be fined for errors on there side. It's not fair that they don't do the right thing for their customers. What ever happened to the customer is always right? It's sad cause companies now a days only think about how to squeeze another dollar out of people. I'm on a fixed income and should get the service that they promised me when i signed up. Maybe that's why we have to sign a contract for so many yrs or months how else would they get new customers. All i can say is It Sucks!

I agree 100%, and my phone rings 3 times and then just beeps and hangs up if we don't get to it fast enough.  And same thing have the stupid contract so what you can you do nothing!  But I was recommending them to people in the area and I sure stopped that crap real fast!

I've had this isp for about 8 months, I didn't get the telephone service (thankfully). The Internet was great for the first 4 months but now it's hit and miss. Exede's wifi modem isn't a dependable product. The speeds drop to unusable levels, and connectivity is poor. I'm happy I didn't get the phone service being the connectivity is so poor. My dish is aligned, the cables and connections are good. I've called customer service, and emailed exede-listens but no help so far. I may have to pay to get out of this contract. I guess I'll have to pay more for ATT Internet.

NorthMN, which AT&T internet are you thinking of switching to? Is it cable or fiber, or the satellite internet they offer? If it is the AT&T satellite internet, just be aware that that is actually Exede, which AT&T, through its DirecTV branch, as an authorized wholesaler.

Steve, my only other option would be AT&T cellular Internet. It is very expensive, but having almost another year and a half contract term with exede is a long time. Exede was great the first 4 months, now it's really gone down hill. Customer phone service is insulting. And email gets no response. It might be time to break contract, sadly.
