Unhappy with disconnect policies

I have been a customer of Exede Internet for a little over two years. Recently I moved to a new home in Talkeetna, AK which is located in a valley that prohibits Exede Internet from working. I am going to turn 71 years of age in three weeks and getting up on a ladder is out of the question for me therefore I am unable to access the "box" that the company says I must remove and send to them to avoid about $300.00 in charges. This is a completely unreasonable situation and the "requirement" was of course not mentioned until I called and explained why I needed to cancel the contract. I cannot believe a company can get away with treating good paying customers in such a shabby and legally questionable manner. I am trying to do the right thing but this situation is so ridiculous and so unheard of that I am at a total loss as to how to handle it. MARK D. DANKBERG is the Chairman of the Board over this and many other companies. I cannot believe he got where he is by treating people so unreasonably and badly. Please help me find a reasonable solution to this problem and seriously reconsider the policy that involves shipping dish parts around the country. In deep frustration, Elizabeth J. Matlack
