Question for those who have Netflix

Did Netflix change everyones plan without notifying? Or are they doing maintenance? I never heard of this. I know on my account I had 1 screen, but it now says 4 screens and $13.99.

When I click on plan to try to change it back it won't let me. But when I click on the other two plans it asks me to confirm that change and it tells me my current plan is "4 screens $13.99.". I find this weird.

Just wondering if anyone's else account says the same at the moment. I'm cancelling if it increased. I hope they know that. Their movies suck anyway.

I've asked her. She doesn't even know how to get to account settings. Just knows how to stream. She's only signed in on her bluray player.

Ok. Worst case scenario, you just cancel and resubscribe. No penalty.

My brother knows the password. I did give it to him in the past. But he has no viewing history. So I doubt he changed the plan.

Would adding our smart tv we got our house have anything to with it? Would Netflix force a plan change? Maybe someone possibly accidentally changed it when they set it up. I wasn't in the room when it was set up. So I wouldn't know.

For now I just cancelled it and will re subscribe on the 20th. It did indeed charge me $13.99 last month.

Someone changed the plan most likely. Honestly, if you have a couple people watching, spend the extra $4. Charge them whatever and don’t worry about it.

If someone did change my plan, why would it tell me what it says below when I click on 4 screens? You shouldn't be able to click on the plan that you have. But only when I click on plan 1, it tells me nothing. I don't think anyone changed anything, there's a glitch in my account and Netflix needs to fix. I should be able to change back, but I am not able to. It's just 2 devices we use, my brother doesn't use it. He has his own.

CURRENT PLAN : 4 screens
Watch on 4 screens at a time. HD and Ultra HD available. Download videos on 4 phones or tablets. $13.99/month

NEW PLAN : 4 screens
Watch on 4 screens at a time. HD and Ultra HD available. Download videos on 4 phones or tablets. $13.99/month

Other than the price increase which they were rather upfront about I don't believe plans changed on how many screens you get and everything. Sounds like a unintentional change between you or her.

Original poster is talking about changes within their Netflix account.  Has nothing to do with Viasat.  They were just curious if any other people were having the same problem with their Netflix account.  Could affect anyone, regardless of ISP.

I will say this, I have been seeing some strange Amazon monthly Prime charges lately.  One of my credit cards that i never use with Amazon was charged $10.99 about a month ago.  I called my CC company and they immediately removed the charge.

My wife had the same thing happen to her a few days ago.  She called and got the charge removed.  We have two separate Amazon accounts, both with our college email addresses.  You get a year of Amazon Prime for free if you are a student.  Both of us let our Prime memberships expire, and neither of us have paid accounts at the moment.  We both contacted Amazon as well and neither new about the monthly charges.  Strange.

I know if you order like HBONOW through a FireTV you get charged for it but under an Amazon charge I suspect it's the same if you do like the CBS or Starz channels. That was a little confusing until I remembered it was for that.

I did get it to change back. Had to be either me or my sister. Likely just unitentional without meaning to.

The change happened after November 19th and before december 19th. Because when you switch plans, it goes into effect on your next billing date. Smart TV we got after december 19th.

I can also see a list of all IP addresses under "account access" on netflix.

The only time Netflix was accessed in December was the 16th, with an iPhone. Our IP address. My sister has an iphone. I do not.

This is the link you can use to view all recent activity. I didn't know how to get to it. I found it through a google search. It's pretty cool they have this. All sites should. Because I know where I most commonly sign in. https://www.netflix.com/accountaccess
