Question about new plan

I was sold a 17GB plan for $80/month with a free zone. When I logged in after my installation, it showed a Liberty 10 plan for $64.99/month (which is listed for $59.99 on the website). I also had my first bill charged automatically to my account even though I was told this was an option. I never signed a contract. I definitely would have noticed the discrepancy at that time. The contract shown on my account has no signature. The company I signed up with, Total Home Solution in Redmond, WA, said they would contact the salesperson and have him "fix it". That was Monday. Haven't heard from them. Sent three emails to Exede. They just sent back details on the plans available. Since I have no contract, I'm going to direct my bank to accept no more charges from them. Oh...and this was installed 5 days ago. What a scam!!!

Contracts are signed electronically at the time of installation. Technicians have been known to sign for the customer although it is prohibited by Exede. The technician could (and should) lose his certification if it can be proven he did this. Please follow through with Exede about this. Retailers and technicians need to be held responsible for their misrepresentations. Of course, it is your word against theirs but if Exede starts hearing from others with similar allegations about Total Home Solution they may see a need for action. Exede is a great product but gets a bad rap mostly due to unprofessional salespeople and technicians.

I think Total Home Solutions is a Dish Network dealer. Keep in mind that if you got Exede equipment via DishNet you will find that Exede will not talk to you. You will have to call Dish Network and possibly talk to someone in India who you have to ask to repeat everything he says 3 or 4 times. Good luck.

Hello Kathy, I’m sorry to hear about your recent experience with Exede. In regards to your first bill, you’ll see pro-rated charges for a portion of your first month plus the additional full advance month, this will also include your equipment lease fee /$9.99. The first bill may also include any installation fees. Since the pro-rated charges will only be for three or less days, the amount will be relatively small. After this, your invoice will include single-month charges only.  When signing up for Exede there is a 24-month agreement to which is agreed upon installation / electronic signature.  Please give us a call at 866.945.3258 you also have the option of sending us an email to with your account and contact info and we can review your account to further assist.
